Du sang

I'm (obviously) back and it's not so bad really. I've actually started to get my work organised and even starting to find aspects of my courses mildly interesting. I missed a seminar this morning by thinking it was an hour later than it actually was but my tutor ticked my name off because I came at the end and grovelled, which means I won't be receiving a threatening pink letter in the post! Yay! I actually feel fine about being here for the first time in a month.

There's a blood drive going on in our student union. I know I should do a selfless deed for the first time in my entire life but I haven't decided yet. Last time I had a blood test I had a nurse delve about in my arm trying to find a vein. After a while of delving she went to my other arm and prodded about in that. No vein m'lady. She went back to the first arm and succeeded in dragging a vein to the surface of my arm and extracting some red nectar from it. That vein has stayed at the surface of my skin ever since. I should go and give blood. But I don't want to. But I do want to do a good deed! But I am quite squeamish. Alright, I shall have a looky inside before I go home and decide then.

In other news I have cystitis. AGAIN. I think I last had it in January. It's just as painful this time round. Feels like I'm pissing tabasco sauce and there is something sitting on the little trigger that sends messages to my brain telling it 'You need to wee!' for 24 hours of the day every sodding day even though I don't bloody need to go! I've been taking a remedy for it (sachets of powdery stuff) but it tastes so unbelievably vile that I'm not sure I'd rather let the infection go away on its own.

Remember when I couldn't get home one day because the road was cordoned off with police tape? Yeah, I found out that was because someone was shot. The reason there was no ambulance and only police cars there was because the man was already dead. It DID happen on Prostitute Road though so I'm not surprised. Christ, I make Leicester sound fucking horrible. It's not and most of it is really nice, just not my bit. The rest of it is lovely though - I'm sure Gary Linekar wouldn't be living here otherwise.
