Hi,

We're sorry that Judge John Deed has had to be cancelled for tonight.

It was news to us too. It does seem that in the light of the recent Soham verdict and the reporting on this last night that Crimewatch will now be shown tonight instead, as mentioned in an earlier thread.

Re-scheduling decisions are tricky to make and it's difficult to keep everyone happy. However, Crimewatch is a live programme and is topical and therefore can't be re-scheduled by more than a couple of days.

Unfortunately, something had to be postponed and whatever it happens to be it's going to be someone's favourite programme.

No confirmation yet, but I would have thought that the final episode of Judge John Deed will air after New Year, as the Christmas and New Year schedules are already jam-packed. Sorry about that - you'll just have to hang in there for a bit!"
