Somewhere only we know 2005-04-11 | 10:42 a.m. In the survey I put in here the other day I wrote this: '29. Bet on a winning horse (I won the Grand National when I was about ten - my dad put the bet on for me. The horse was called Minnehoma.) ' Well, I can proudly announce that I have now bet on a winning horse twice on the Grand National. £1.00 each way on Hedgehunter. At odds of 7 to 1 I was expecting to get back a fiver or something so was secretly very pleased when Ladbrokes handed over £10.70. The weekend was good but sadly today is the first of the many Dissertation Days I have to look forward to. And when I say 'look forward to' I mean it with a very, very thick coating of sarcasm. Oh yes. |
