This is Snowflake. I took the picture of him when I was about six at Barcelona Zoo and I just had to share it with the world. If you look closely, you'll see he's smiling at you.

"Snowflake, Barcelona Zoo's most famous animal, is an albino gorilla. This means he has a complete lack of the pigment that is normal in other gorillas, and as a result is white instead of black like the rest of the species.

Albinism is quite common in many animal species, including humans, but another albino gorilla has never been found, which makes our Snowflake a rarity that is unique in the world."
